Kuranda (Train and Skyrail)
Kuranda Village, famous for its arts, crafts and indigenous artefacts, snuggles in the rainforest behind Trinity Beach. A visit to the Kuranda Markets is an essential part of any North Queensland holiday but getting there is more than half the fun. Kuranda is serviced both by a timeless scenic, steam railway and by the ultra-modern skyrail which sails for 7.5 kilometres over the canopy of the Barron Gorge National Park.
As well as a multitude of market stalls, cafes,shops and restaurants, Kuranda also hosts Birdworld, the Noctarium and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary.
